These terms apply whenever you read the site or use one of its forms. Please stop using the site if you do not accept them.
What the site is for
We publish general information about the safety systems fitted to passenger vehicles. Our guides describe how those systems usually behave. They do not describe your particular vehicle, they are not repair or maintenance instructions, and they do not replace your owner’s manual, your dealer or a qualified technician.
Safety systems assist a driver; none of them removes the need to drive attentively. Nothing on this site should lead you to rely on a system more than its maker says you can.
Independence
We are not connected to any vehicle maker, dealer, parts seller, repair business or insurer. Names of systems are used only to describe them, and any trademarks belong to their owners.
Using our forms
When you send a form you confirm that the details are yours, that they are accurate and that you are at least 18. You can ask us to update or delete them at any time.
Text messages
Our text sign-up offers two programmes, each with its own box: account notifications about your sign-up, and marketing messages with new guides, reminders and news about our service. Each programme is recurring and automated, and messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system. Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. Message frequency varies, and you should expect no more than 4 messages per month from each programme. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help and STOP to cancel at any time; you will receive a single confirmation and no further messages from that programme. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Other websites
Some pages link to outside sources, such as government safety and recall sites. We have no control over those sites and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information.
Our responsibility
We take care over accuracy, but vehicles and their software change, and a general guide cannot cover every model. The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we accept no liability for loss or damage that results from relying on it in place of your manual or professional advice.
When these terms change
We may revise these terms from time to time, and the date above will change when we do. Using the site after a revision means you accept the revised terms.
